What We Do
Research: Wellness Defined, LLC conducts human-subject protected qualitative and quantitative research specific to physical and psychological health. Scientific investigations include designing and pre-testing instruments, statistically validating instruments, collecting data using both paper-and-pencil and Internet formats, analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, as well as preparing findings for reports and submissions to peer-reviewed journals.
Evaluation: Perform formative, process, and summative evaluations for organizations or programs, which will include developing survey instruments, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings.
Needs Assessment: Develop data gathering instruments, collect and analyze data, and report findings. Findings may be used to determine the need for organization or program start-up, modifications of existing programs, or viability of existing programs or organizations.
Training and Education: If a company has an existing wellness program, we can provide education and training specific to nutrition and physical activity for preventing and managing diseases, exercise for managing skeletomuscular injuries, stress management for psychological health as well as other health-related training and education (i.e., negative impact of smoking, sleep deprivation and its negative effects on health, and living well with HIV and comorbidities [i.e., type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity]).
Wellness Program Design: Design wellness programs specific to disease prevention and chronic disease management for non-profit and for-profit organizations, individuals and groups. Importantly, specific to groups and organizations, in order to determine program effectiveness, needs assessments, process evaluations, and summative evaluations will be conducted. Additionally, we will support a company in staffing a wellness program through identifying and recruiting qualified personnel as well as through identifying materials, equipment, and space needed for the program.
Technical Writing: Develop and write multiple-year comprehensive or strategic plans, including establishing realistic goals, objectives, and activities specific to the mission, vision and values of an organization or program. We will collect, aggregate, and synthesize relevant qualitative and quantitative data, which will result in a more robust and focused comprehensive or strategic plan.
